THE GRUDGE grossed over $100 million domestically, $200 million worldwide. Stephen wrote the sequel a year later and the two films have grossed over half a billion dollars in revenue and propelled Stephen as a screenwriter to the top of the horror genre in Hollywood
Stephen has had two films premier at Sundance, RED(starring Brian Cox) and HIGH SCHOOL (starring Adrian Brody, Michael Chiklis, Colin Hanks). Stephen's next movies to be released early 2012, are Lions Gate's THE DYBBUK BOX, the currently shooting TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D. Currently Stephen is writing INFANTRY for McG(TERMNATOR: SALVATION)and is adapting a super hero comic series with Brett Ratner, (XMEN:THE LAST STAND) and a television series with Gore Verbrinski (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN).
Come and listen to Stephen tell how as an unproduced screenwriter, he became one of the top sought after horror writers in the industry today.
The 'Script to Screen' presentations are not just normal Q&A sessions, nor the same info that you might receive from a Q&A podcast, instead these evenings are more like intense creative and practical autopsies designed to give you an intimate insight into just how the writers/filmmakers conceived the project, wrote the script, got it picked up, funded, produced and distributed successfully.
The key areas where YOU can learn from their experiences will include...
1. Comparisons and discussions around script and story evolution – the script they took to set, what happened in the edit, and the movie they completed.
2. Working with a studio.
3. How to not be removed from the filmmaking process.
4. The keys to a sustainable success and a career beyond just one film.
5. And of course, there is lots of time for your questions too.
When we can, everyone attending will receive the shooting script for that month's film via email so they can read it and compare it to the completed film, gaining the powerful experience of story development through shoot and post production. The idea is also for you to watch the film in your own time prior to the event so you're able to get as much out of the evening as possible. If the script happens not to be available prior to the event (due to copyright issues, studios etc.), the guest speaker will use clips from the movie, to help elaborate their experience writing the script to the final film.
Come armed with questions and fire away! You can also bring your own DVD of their movies and ask the guest to sign it!

A fantastic evening was had with Academy Award nominated screenwriter and CineStory mentor, MARK FERGUS.
Mark gave us all a fascinating insight into his screenwriting craft, how he works with his screenwriting partner, Hawk Ostby; his dealings with the Studios; his working partnership with Director Jon Favreau on IRON MAN and COWBOYS & ALIENS, and working with great actors such as Robert Downey Jr., Guy Pearce and William Fichtner.
"This was a great event! Very relaxed and informative. They truly allowed the speaker to share some fantastic and detailed insights."
Madelaine Coelyn
"Most down to earth and informative Q&A I've been to in ten years!"
Robert Gilman
"I really enjoyed the event and the very personal, intimate nature of the Q&A. However I don't want to say too many other great things about it because I'm afraid of attracting a larger crowd. Something like this is pretty hard to come by in L.A. I almost want to keep the secret to myself"
Brent McHenry
"Come blow your mind and hear the how to from the professionals actually making magic on screen"
Dorothy Henriques
"A very intimate setting that brings the star of the show to the viewers level which makes for a heightened sense of possibility."
Jeff Sharpe
"Inspirational and motivational"
Reid Collums
"An intimate, up-close and personal look into the career beginnings and highs and lows of a working successful writer."
David Roberson
"Engaging, entertaining and very informative!"

April - Bob De Rosa
Bob DeRosa (screenwriter of Killers and The Air I Breathe) came to Filmmaker Junction's inaugural event on April 6th, 2011. We had a great night and Bob brought along a surprise guest, director Jieho Lee (the director of The Air I Breathe). Here are just a few of the comments we received:
"A great opportunity to hear directly from a working Hollywood writer (and director) the ups, downs, ins and outs of making it as a working writer - Great!" John G.
"It was a great event to attend. Great guests, interesting discussion, loved the detailed analysis of the scenes and comparison to the script. Full of advice and inspiration! Thanks!" Elene Kulikova
"A shout out to Genevieve Jolliffe and her team at Filmmaker Junction for bringing Screenwriter Bob DeRosa and Director, Jieho Lee, the collaborative team on the film, The Air I Breathe, to Filmmaker Junction's Script to Screen Event last night. I enjoyed listening to Bob and Jieho talk about their personal experiences and significant events which brought the film to the screen. It was a casual, friendly, intimate evening and a chance to "meet and greet" two talented artists. Thank you, Genevieve."
Windy Buhler
"The event was an unguarded look at the screenwriter's plight/process that most of us don't get to see. Thank you."
Chris Caniglia
"Very courageous to help young film makers and give a realistic vision of studio and independent filmmaking. Thank you!"
Vera Mulyani
"You really delivered in a fun and kind way. It will be a pleasure to join you as you grow and fill an important slot here in L.A."

Reviews from our Script to Screen events in London, U.K.
'Hey that was just fantastic today. Once again thanks so much for all your effort and passion. I'm sure the future success of a number of budding film-makers on your contact list will be in
no small part due to your unselfish efforts to inspire and equip.... the Q & A was excellent. I actually sat there more than once thinking how cool it was to have read the script,
then watched a film and now be listening to the creators sitting on stools at the front of the theatre talking about the process and answering questions.... practically it provided
valuable insight, emotionally, it motivated and encouraged. It was a total triumph. Thanks again for providing such great opportunities to get skilled up and perhaps more
importantly in making me feel part of an industry / fraternity. You're helping keep my dreams alive.'

‘The SHIFTY Script to Screen event was invaluable. It's always good to hear people's film making experiences first hand, and these guys (Eran and Ben) were very candid. It was great for
networking too, as I got talking to some other film makers afterwards that had also attended, and they're now considering me for a role in their next feature’.

‘A great film followed by a fantastic Q&A. Eran Creevy was extremely generous and honest in telling us his journey from script to screen. To see someone like him making it was quite
inspiring as he came across as a really genuine good guy. Having producer Ben Pugh in the room was an added bonus as it highlighted the importance of a strong creative team. A very illuminating
afternoon, well worth it!’
